The AMAAD Institute

AMAAD facilitates personalized individual access to programs and services that foster safe and supportive healthy environments for people to live, learn, and develop to their fullest potential.

The organization provides essential and support services, community support, resources and referrals, centered around specialized strength-based management services and leadership development with a focus among LGBTQ people of color.

The Foundation for AIDS Research

amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, is one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy. Since 1985, amfAR has invested nearly $617 million in its programs and has awarded more than 3,500 grants to research teams worldwide. From 2015 to 2020, amfAR invested close to $53 million in 109 cure-focused research projects in 15 countries.

Better Brothers Los Angeles

Better Brothers Los Angeles was created in 2014 and curates cultural, informational, recreational, and social/networking events for the Black LGBTQ+ Community. 

Annually, BBLA hosts the Truth Awards which celebrates Black Queer Excellence and raises funds to help Black queer youth attend, persist, and graduate from colleges and vocational programs. To date, we have raised over $300,000.00 in scholarship funds.

St. John’s Community Health

St. John’s Community Health provides medical, dental, and behavioral health services by certified medical providers.

Services include primary care medical and dental services, onsite and home HIV testing, HIV prevention and PrEP services, COVID-19 testing and vaccines, STI testing, substance abuse programs and support, linkage to care and wellness services.

Services may be free or charged based on an individual ability to pay.
